Intro from Candis Cox-Daniels

I would like to introduce you to my mother and father-in-law. As you follow them through their journey starting in 2007, you may find yourself doing what I initially did, assuming that theirs is a story of lazy self-pity; two people who choose to reject their responsibilities and want to claim that God told them to do so. But I encourage you to set aside any judgement, assumptions and prejudices, and there is a good chance you will discover not only a story of two people whose journey of selflessness and humility transcends any earthly experience. You are going to read about Gods work, with miracles so unfathomable it will make a non-believer take pause. In my opinion, this is a story less about transformation and more about acceptance. Acceptance of God's  love, healing, and unification that comes from accepting His promise; “I will never leave you nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5.

All About Us

From October 2009 until June 30, 2024, my husband Tom and I served as innkeepers at a bed-and-breakfast while living as full-time servants of the Lord. During this time, we depended entirely on Him for our daily needs, trusting His provision and guidance.

Now, we have transitioned to living with and caring for an elderly woman. Married since 1980, Tom and I have faced and continue to recover from the challenges of pornography addiction and co-addiction. By God’s grace, He has given us the ministry of helping others find freedom from these struggles. Tom works with men, I work with women, and together we minister to couples.

Though we have not “arrived,” we invite those God brings into our lives to join us on the journey of healing and restoration as we “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). I also have the privilege of working with the elderly as God leads.

We are blessed with two wonderful children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and four amazing grandchildren. Our life is full and rich, with its share of normal ups and downs, as we press into the Lord and learn to love Him with all our heart, soul, and strength—one day at a time.

“I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24)
