God is so good! He continues to make His presence known to me daily! I had lunch with one of the new girls in my group and she expressed a lot of doubt of God’s existence and goodness. I was able to speak God’s word to her, like He was speaking to her through me because when I was returning to work, I was telling Him how amazing He was because it certainly wasn’t me! He was saying things that I had never thought of before and I was listening to His words just as much as she was! What an awesome experience serving our Most High God!!
Then, in our Doctrines class someone was feeling very stretched thin and was asking for prayer for direction in her life. When they said this, I heard the Lord say “I have already told her”, so I said to her, I just heard the Lord say He has already told you, so I prayed against doubt and fear that would come in and rob her of the knowledge of God’s direction in her life. Afterwards we talked and she realized that she did know what she was supposed to do but had allowed the world to come in and persuade her that there was something else even better. So, that was pretty cool too :)
Today’s scripture reading was in Daniel and I really liked this part: Daniel 7:12-14
"In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."
He will rule with authority and power for eternity Halleluiah!! I am so glad He is my King!
When I was talking with my class mate about how the enemy tries to tempt us away from what God is telling us to do, I used the scripture of Jesus being tempted in the desert and guess what we are reading in the hope journal! Luke 4:5-8:
"The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'"
Thank you Lord for this confirmation!
I was talking with Tom the other day and mentioned that there seems to be a shift in our perspective lately. The time is getting closer and closer to the foreclosure date but I am feeling less and less worried and stressed over it. I think it started after that day I determined to not be shaken again and to focus on what He has called us to do. All the scriptures I am reading and responding to are ones that proclaim His power, goodness and Glory where as before it was mostly His Faithfulness and trustworthiness. I am seeing His awesomeness more and more everyday!
Thank you Jesus!
Tom and his sister came back from NY tonight and we took her to R and E’s so she could visit with them. A and C came as well and the evening started off good but it ended up very badly as C and R clashed and R ended up asking them to leave… Not good.
