We met with SS and his wife tonight and it was once again amazing to share the story and see how God is speaking to people through our testimony!! SS, being a real-estate broker, was interested in buying our house. (But he called on Tuesday to let us know that he couldn’t purchase our house himself but that he would check to see if any of the brokers he knows of would be interested.)

My boss told me he was leaving the customer service dept. and moving over to operations. He asked me if I was interested in moving up into a supervisory position. While he was talking and letting me know of this opportunity, my thoughts went down the road of; this would be great for my resume, I have never been in a supervisory position like this before, and what a great opportunity it would be…!! Then, I heard the Lord speaking to my heart “Am I now trying to win the approval of men or of God, or am I still trying to please men?? If I am still trying to please men, I am not a servant of the Lord”. (Galatians 1:10) So, I knew right then that this was a turning point for me and if I took this position, I would make my choice to stay employed and not serve God in the way my heart desired. I decided then that I wouldn’t take the position but I told my boss I would pray about it.
