Tom found another 20$ dollar bill under his keyboard this morning! Thank you Jesus for your little surprises and reminders that you are there!

Insert 2022 - Linda: I waited tables for many years while the kids were growing up so that I could work my schedule around them and their school hours. Once I stopped waiting tables I started having "server nightmares" which were dreams about waiting tables that were very stressful because nothing seemed to go right. This is what I am referencing below.

I had another server dream but I wouldn’t call it a nightmare anymore! It is so interesting how these dreams have progressed over the years. When I first started having them, they were all about having too many customers to service and not having enough supplies, or access to, the things I needed (i.e. glasses, ice, beverages...) which delayed my ability to get to the customers.

Then, they changed to not having my uniform, apron, change purse, pens or anything that I needed. Sometimes I didn’t even have my shoes and/or had no clue what my schedule was so I wasn’t even sure when I was supposed to work.

Then, I would have my apron, change and all that stuff but not know what my section was and then last night, I was waiting on the tables, in total control, anticipating needs of the customers and joking around with them like I was in the “zone”! Wow, what a great dream!

It is funny that when I was in the most “control” in my life, working and taking care of myself, that is when the dreams were the most out of control. Now, when the Lord is in control of my life and I am out of control, my dreams are reflecting order and control… Interesting!
