God is so good! I met with LD for dinner last night and we had an awesome talk! During our conversation I mentioned the dream I had and she had some really good insight! She said that whatever the rope represents it is something that only “I” can see. No one else in the dream can see it. She said that it could possibly be something that is or can affect the ministry (referencing the person calling that hung up on me) but in the dream I did not see this guy as anyone I would council and knew I needed to refer him to Tom, so I am not sure about that one. And then she asked me if I was right-handed, I said yes, and she said that my left hand represented a weakness that I have and the fact that I was able to hold the rope signified that I am gaining strength and control over whatever this is. I tried to think of what the rope could be representing but nothing really came to me. I thought of my issues related to my childhood trauma, my marriage, my ministry but nothing really came to me as being “it”. I will continue to pray about this and I know that God will reveal it to me in His perfect timing.
She also asked me if I would mentor her. How cool is that?? I now have a mentor and someone who wants me to mentor them! Thank you, Jesus.
Our hope journal scripture today was John 9-11 and it contains some of our scriptures that God gave us during this season. I was reminded about the verse before the one that Jesus said: "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” The one about the fact that Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days and would have a bad odor. "But, Lord," said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days." I remembered thinking about our financial situation and how it is really getting to the point of “stinking”! It is beyond our ability to do anything about it ourselves and it will take the hand of God to raise if from the dead! Another scripture was the one about the blind man: "His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.
Jesus keeps telling us that it is for “HIS” glory and that it has nothing to do with US but so the work of God might be displayed in our lives. Are we willing to risk everything to do this?? YES!! Yes, I believe that you are Lord and I give all the praise honor and glory to you!! Amen.
