I keep forgetting to mention that we got a financial blessing last week of $1,000.00!! Wow. God knows what we need and when we need it!

Today’s journal reading was in Psalm 30:5-6 so it was nice to read again one of the scriptures God has given me: “I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.”

I had a conversation with someone last night who had called me because God had laid me on their heart (the last time I saw them they found out about our foreclosure situation). I was tired and felt a little grumpy and impatient. Just like most people they find the need to want to “fix” our situation for us. Everyone says the same things, “can you sell your home?... Can Tom get a job? Have you asked anyone for help...?” I know they mean well, and I would probably say the same things if the roles were reversed but after a while, I feel like saying “Do you think we haven’t thought of all those things!?” “Do you think we are just blindly, uncaring, unfeelingly allowing this to happen to us?” …. Since I was feeling a bit impatient last night (Father forgive me) I just asked her to not try to fix it for us but to pray that we would stand strong and stay in God’s will…. It does help to talk about it though and share all that God has done to keep us from freaking out!

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits… and in HIS word I put my hope!

This was a good word from the Daily Bread today:

The Bible instructs us: “Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us” (Eph. 5:2) and “Walk in wisdom” (Col. 4:5). I ask myself, “Does my walk reflect God’s love and wisdom?” Am I “pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy”? (James 3:17). Do I have love, joy, and peace? Am I tranquil and strong? What do others see as I walk by?

What do people see when "I" walk?? I pray that they see Jesus!

Lord, help me to reflect YOU in all I do. I want to be just like my daddy and walk and talk like you. Help me to surrender myself and become more and more yielded to you every day.
